Perth Dental Office was established in the early 2000s and since then has been providing dental services to the Amsterdam area. Our practice is devoted to providing patients with the most comprehensive, compassionate dental care while focusing on our patients' needs and concerns. Dr. Denise Mastroianni-Gleason and her outstanding team works diligently to deliver healthy, beautiful smiles and care to patients of all ages. We assure you that your dental experience at Perth Dental will be the most comfortable, relaxing experience ever!
Dr. Denise Mastroianni-Gleason has been practicing dentistry in the Amsterdam area for over 21 years. After graduating from Siena College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, she then went on to pursue her Doctorate in Medical Dentistry from Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Upon graduating from Boston University, Dr. Mastroianni-Gleason completed a residency program at the former St. Clare’s now Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY. She continues to strive to further and advance her knowledge of dentistry with participation in continuing education courses.
Dr. Mastroianni-Gleason maintains active memberships in the American Dental Association, The New York State Dental Society, and the Fourth District Dental Society. Dr. Mastroianni-Gleason resides in the Amsterdam area and enjoys spending her spare time with her family and her Maltese Zoey.
OUR SERVICES
Routine & Emergency Exams
Comprehensive dental exams not only check for tooth decay and gingival health but also examine your entire mouth, head and neck area. Dental images sometimes accompany a dental exam and are helpful in diagnosing oral health conditions. At times an emergency exam is conducted when there is a specific area or oral health concern.
Dental Hygiene
Dental Hygiene visits are of utmost importance in maintaining proper oral health. A dental hygienist will thoroughly remove any hardened plaque (called calculus or tartar) that builds up on your teeth. This removal is done by hand scaling, while at times an ultrasonic scaler is also used. It is strongly advised that routine hygiene visits are scheduled at least twice a year to properly care for and maintain optimal oral health.
Fillings & Crowns
A dental restoration or dental filling may be the treatment proposed by Dr. Mastroianni-Gleason to restore function, integrity, and morphology of missing or decayed tooth structure. The filling material of choice is composite resin which mimics the appearance of natural teeth and preserves the maximum amount of tooth structure.
Dental crowns are often fabricated when a tooth is significantly decayed or damaged.
Crowns are also recommended to protect a tooth following root canal treatment, strengthen a tooth that is fractured or weak, support a large filling when a tooth lacks natural tooth structure, and change/enhance a smile. Crowns are custom made to fit over the tooth to restore the tooth back to its original shape and size and can be made of porcelain, porcelain fused to metal, zirconia, and at times gold.
Dentures & Partials

Dentures and partial dentures are removable appliances that are used to replace multiple missing teeth. They are not only utilized as replacements for missing teeth but they are also fabricated to deliver optimal esthetics and restore function. Perth Dental Office has been the area's leader in the fabrication of removable dentures and partials. At Perth Dental, Dr. Mastroianni-Gleason works in close conjunction with the dental laboratory to customize the best removable appliances possible for her patients.

Perth Dental Office works in conjunction with the area's most qualified dental laboratories. The laboratory will customize removable dentures and removable partial dentures for Dr. Mastroianni-Gleason as well as fabricate night guards, orthodontic retainers, and athletic mouthguards.
Other Services

Dr. Mastroianni-Gleason also offers other general dentistry procedures for her patients such as implant restorations, veneers, extractions, and teeth whitening.
